What Is Basement Remodeling?
Basement Remodeling is a comprehensive process of transforming an unfinished or outdated basement into a functional and aesthetically pleasing living space. This service can include a variety of tasks such as waterproofing, insulation, framing, electrical work, plumbing, drywall installation, flooring, and painting. It may also involve the addition of special features like home theaters, wet bars, gyms, or additional bedrooms and bathrooms. Basement remodeling not only maximizes the usable square footage of a home but also enhances its comfort, utility, and market value.
Why Is Basement Remodeling Important?
Basement Remodeling is important for several reasons. Firstly, it significantly increases the livable space in your home without the need for an expensive and time-consuming home addition or move. This additional space can be used for entertainment, as a home office, extra bedrooms, or a rental unit, providing a potential income source. Secondly, a well-designed basement remodel can greatly increase your home’s value, offering an impressive return on investment when it’s time to sell. Moreover, it improves energy efficiency by adding proper insulation, which can reduce overall heating and cooling costs. Lastly, remodeling your basement can address and prevent potential issues like dampness and mold, creating a healthier living environment.
When Should You Consider Basement Remodeling?
You should consider Basement Remodeling when you find the need for additional living space or wish to increase your home’s value. If your basement is underutilized, outdated, or unfinished, remodeling can transform it into a valuable asset for your home. It’s also wise to consider this service if you’re facing issues such as moisture or water damage, as part of the remodeling process will involve waterproofing to protect your investment. Additionally, if your family is growing or changing, and you require more bedrooms, a home office, or a recreational area, basement remodeling can provide a cost-effective solution to meet those needs without having to relocate.

Mike and Brian did an amazing job adding recessed lighting to our living room! Mike was so accommodating to our sensitive timeframe to get the job completed and with no mess. We can’t thank you enough for your attention to detail and professionalism!
Lauren Cirino
We used Mike and his team to have new high hat lights put in our family room. They were so professional, kept as much as they possibly could covered during the job, and cleaned up when they were finished.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the renovation take from start to finish?
This is on a project by project basis, we try to give a loose timeline at the time the contract is signed.
What is the total estimated cost, and what could cause it to increase?
We provide our clients with a breakdown of the costs from Estimate through signature of the Final Contract. That being said, throughout the renovation if additions or changes are needed, a change order is sent with the breakdown of cost and signed off on.
Do I need permits for this project, and will you handle them?
If a permit is needed for your job the general contractor will have that added to the statement of work as part of your Contract.
What is the payment schedule or deposit requirement?
The first deposit is required at the time of signature of your contract. The breakdown of payment is listed on the Contract as well.
Will I need to move out during the renovation?
Depending on what type of project we are working on for you, will depend on if you would need to move out of the room, house, etc. You are responsible for removing anything in the project area that could be in the way of the work being done.
How will you protect the rest of my home from dust?
We use drop cloths and pride ourselves on being as clean as possible while we work and before we leave for the day.
Who will be working in my home (employees vs. subcontractors)?
Our team of vetted and qualified employees and subcontractors that we have a long standing relationship with.
What happens if there are unexpected issues (like plumbing, electrical, or structural problems)?
The project will be put on hold as we help assimilate the cost of the issues and the route to take with you from there. The standard is that a change order and a cost would come with issues like these.
Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on the work?
We do not offer specific warranties but we do however stand by our work. If something comes up please call and we can address it accordingly.
